K. Diggs: What made you decide to be a part of the Pain2 Passion: Our Valley Experience anthology?
King: I want to make a difference in the world. We all have pain, we all go through valley experiences. It is my firm belief that my testimony will Bless someone in such a way that they will rise up from whatever hardship they are going through and turn their pain into their passion.
K. Diggs: What is your greatest accomplishment?
King: Living! Getting up every single day and using my stumbling blocks as stepping stones.
K. Diggs: What was your moment of clarity?
King: In November of 2011 I realized that I was afraid of success because I didn’t think I deserved it. I feared reaching my potential because I didn’t want the accountability. It finally hit me that to whom much is given, much is required.
K. Diggs: What was your moment of surrender?
King: In May of 2013 I let God lead me instead of telling HIM what I wanted to do. I allowed myself to depend on other people. God Blessed me with a man to be my support system and I finally started opening up about my passion.
K. Diggs: What was your moment of release?
King: In May of 2013 I cried for the first time in 2 years.. I let go of all the emotions I had been holding onto. I allowed myself to be vulnerable and I actually let other people see my tears. For such a long time I thought that crying was a sign of weakness. Then I realized that my strength had become my weakness.
K Diggs: Have you fully discovered your bliss?
King: Yes. I have discovered that I deserve greatness and that my mission will have longevity as long as I keep praying and pushing.

K. Diggs: What message would you like to share with the world?
King: Don’t ever give up on your passion! Times will get hard, obstacles will get in your way, but know that we were all made to shine, but we cannot forget to empower others with that light. Life is truly a test, but think of how much easier it would be if people would learn to share their notes!
